Originally carved and planted by LadyBug in 2003 and adopted by BNYRBT in March 2010.

Note Dec 2012 - The dam construction has been completed. Park on Mill Street accross from the pond. Enter the SuuAsCp Watershed area. Cross the Dam and the newly constructed spillway area, be careful the dam is mined with goose turds! After you find the two boxes take a stroll around the tip of the peninsula it is quite pretty and there has been quite a bit of bever activity here recently (Dec 2012)

Terrain: easy
Round Trip: About 35 minutes, plus stamping

About the Bracelet
The Westborough Charm Bracelet is a collection of walking trails that will form a continuous bracelet around the town of Westborough, Massachusetts. It connects the communities, parks, preserved open space, recreation areas, and other trails in all sections of town.
To find out more about the Charm Bracelet, or other trails in Westborough, MA, see:
http://www.westboroughcharm.org/index.htm

This section of the Charm Bracelet visits a 380 acre area stretching from Shrewsbury to Mill Road in Westborough. This reservoir, locally referred to as Mill Pond, Stump Pond, or the SuAsCo (Sudbury Assabet Concord Rivers) is a local favorite for fishing, canoeing, and hiking.

Directions:
To Mill Road, Westborough

From the North and South
Route 495 North (or South) to Exit 23B (Route 9 West). Exit to Route 30 West. Continue straight through the rotary in the center of Westborough (staying on Route 30, aka West Main Street). After about a mile, turn RIGHT onto Mill Road. With Mill Pond on your left, you’ll see a clearing on your right. You can park your car here -- across the street from the boat ramp. The trail starts just to the right of the boat ramp.

Start the trail just next to the boat ramp. This trail is on top of the embankment forming a dam. Continue along this trail as it closely follows the outline of Mill Pond. You’ll find yourself very close to neighboring backyards. Do not worry, this is state land. Continue along the path, and cross a stone wall where there’s a break in the wall allowing passer-bys. Go deeper into the woods until you can almost no longer see the houses (depends on how many leaves are still on the trees!). You’ll soon cross another stone wall, but stop. Look towards the water. Hidden in the stone wall is a crazy caterpillar. Stamp in, hide well, and continue along this path.

After crossing over this stone wall, take the path to the left.
Continue until you see a large flat rock on your left. Stand on the flat rock. Look under the flat rock; the side facing the water. Watch out for bizarre beatles!

From here, you can continue or return the way you came or finish the loop path along the pond it takes about 15 minutes to walk you never know what you may find.
