The directions are as follows: Come off interstate 81 at New Market traveling west on Rt. 211 New Market Road into Shenandoah County. Take a right just after the Shenandoah Valley Academy go across the bridge. Turn right, go straight along the river to the real sharp turn. You should end up on Manor Mill Ln. A graveled lane will branch off to the right at the turn. It will be first white farm house.

Childrens Clues

-Settlers first discovered the New Market area’s fertile lands, wild game, and minerals in 1727, nearly 300 years ago.
-Skip from the mailboxes to the tree with the sign.
-Walk backwards through the split trees.
-In 1835, the population was at 700.
-From there you should be able to see a rusty ole plow.
-On May 15, 1864 the Battle of New Market took place.
-That battle is reenacted each year in mid-May, on the grounds of the Hall of Valor Civil War Museum in Mew Market,
-Run from the plow to the stump and sit on it.
-Walk over to the blue pump.
-Walk to the front of the house and sit on the porch.
-You should be looking at the river.
-Spin around in circles, than run to the northeast side of the house.
-At the corner of the house check the ground.

Adult Clues

-Walk from the mailboxes at the beginning of the road to the tree with the Disease Control sign.
-From the sign walk through the split trees.
-From there walk to the rusty ole plow
-From there walk to the stump in the middle of the yard
-Walk to the water pump near the old white house.
-Walk to the front of the house.
-When you're at the front of the house walk to the northeast side of the house.
-Now look around for a small pit with twigs and branches
