Directions
1.) Merge on to I-81
2.) Merge onto E MARKET ST/US-33 W via EXIT 247B toward HARRISONBURG
3.) Turn RIGHT onto N MAIN ST/US-11 N/US-33 W
4.) Take the 1st LEFT onto Court SQ/US-33 W.
Adult Clues

1.) Start at Courthouse’s south side with the Lady of Justice facing you.
2.) *The present courthouse was built in 1843 by D.E. Ross and Edward Bass.
3.) Make sure you read the plaques on either side of you.
4.) Go down the stairs and take a left.
5.) Now stop once you reach the “Virginia Civil War Trails” plaque.
6.) *The first jail was made of hewed logs.
7.) After you read that, take a right towards the Harrisonburg Information Kiosk.
8.) When you reach the Bank of America, make a 90° angle to your right and you will notice the James McHone Jewelry store.
9.) *Many people who moved to Harrisonburg in the nineteenth century were English, German, Irish, and Scotch-Irish.
10.) Once you reach the store, walk down the path until the building ends; take a left.
11.) Walk to the street and you should be facing Oasis 103. Cross the street towards Oasis 103.
12.) Walk down the street towards Dave’s Taverna.
13.) Cut through the parking lot and walk down to the left of Shenandoah Bicycle store, and follow the brown brick sidewalk.
14.) *Thomas Harrison built a house on what is now Bruce Street, and laid claim to 12,000 acres of land in what is now Rockingham County and Harrisonburg.
15.) Keep walking on the brown brick sidewalk; you will eventually cross a bridge and end up in the parking garage.
16.) Take a walk down to the road and take another left.
17.) Walk to the Bishop Francis Asbury plaque on the left side wall.
18.) Cross the street and observe the first bush/light pole and crawl behind it.
Children’s Clues
1.) Start at the Courthouse where the black statue is, and run around (2+1) times.
2.) Walk quickly, but cautiously, down the stairs.
3.) Take a left, and skip until you reach the end of the sidewalk.
4.) Take a right towards the Harrisonburg information stand.
5.) Take a right and walk until you see all of the pretty jewelry at the James McHone jewelry store.
6.) Keep walking past the jewelry store and count how many steps you take until you get to the corner and take a left.
7.) Once you’re standing outside Shank’s Bakery, take a left.
8.) Look both ways before you cross the road to Oasis 103.
9.) Gallop down the sidewalk. Watch for cars as you cut into the parking lot.
10.)Walk to the left of the Shenandoah Bicycle Store and follow the brown brick road; cross the bridge and look to see if there are any ducks in the stream!
11.)Take a left at the end of the bridge and hop down to the road.
12.) Watch for cars, then take another left.
13.) Skip to the Bishop Francis Asbury sign, then check for cars and cross the street. Go to the light pole at the Asbury Church.
14.) Look behind the first bush!
