This Letterbox is part of a collection planted in memory of Laurie Lynn Pimentel, a devout Christian and an avid letter-boxer whose smile and laughter brought joy to everyone who knew her.

Each of the stamps in these boxes has been chosen to represent a different aspect of Laurie Lynn's life or character. However they are generic enogh to be enjoyed by and letterboxing enthusiast.

She and her husband Jeff were married for 25 years and spent much time vacationing here in NH & VT, and each box is planted at or near one of their favorite spots.

Each letterbox has been placed so that than can easily be reached with no more thana 5-10 minute walk (many much less).

They discovered the Huneck Gallery and Dog Mountain by accident and it quickly became a regular stop for them on their trips. Being Dog-Lovers and having raised 5 Pomeranians, they were emotionally drawn to this spot.

Three of their pets are memorialized here in dog chapel. In fact, Laurie's last request, just days before she passed away, was that her most recent pet's photo (Schuyler) be brought to Dog Mountain.

Letterbox Location:

Located at the Stephen Huneck Gallery on Dog Mountain at 143 Parks Rd, St. Johnsbury, VT.

First: Be sure to visit the chapel. Dog lover or not, you will be impressed by the work the late Mr Hunneck left behind. The gallery next door is also a great place to stop
and see much more of Mr Hunneck's work. You can also purchase small souvenirs. If you get to meet his wife (Gwen), be sure and than her for allowing us to plant this letterbox at Dog Mountain.

Now - on to the letterbox!

From the front of the Dog Chapel, walk across the parking
area downhill towards the large barn. Turn to your right and follow the dirt road.

As you climb up a steep hill, you will pass a narrow two-story structure a little but to your left. After the climb levels out a little bit, the dirt road divides. Stay to the left.

At the end of the road/path, you will come to a trapezoidal concrete platform with four pillars. To the left is a lone tall pillar topped by a dog sculpture. After taking a few minutes to enjoy the spectacular view, climb the short steep bank behind the pillars. Look for the letterbox hidden among the branches of a group of young pines.
