Note that this box was moved on June 28, 2011 after a couple of folks had difficulty finding it.

In the eastern outskirts of Pflugerville, at the intersection of Weiss and Kelly Lanes, there is a relatively new subdivision called The Reserve at Westcreek. A street called Bridgefarmer Boulevard encircles this subdivision (it is not very big). The northeastern side of the subdivision has not yet been developed, so there is a largish sized field.

Parking is not a problem - just park somewhere on the eastern edge of the subdivision, perhaps where Bridgefarmer and Defendorf tee (the eastern one...yes, there are two...)

Bring a compass.

In the field, find a place where a cell tower is at a heading of 205 and another is at 290. A telephone pole is at a heading of 140. Look under a white stone in the middle of a metal spiral.

Have fun!

If you can't find it, the following numbers may be of use to you (376995/2748881).

Here are the clues to get to the old location - it was a bit of a hike through some long grass, and generally was not very pleasant to get there.

In the field, find a place where a cell tower is at a heading of 210, and another is at 285. Old glory is a 280, and is that a homestead at 20? Hard to tell through the brush. If you see a slightly rotting, handlike tree, look under the chunk of cement just to the west of it.

Hint: you will have to walk off the road several hundred feet into the brush. You might have to step over a low erosion blocking barrier, but if you come to a barbed wire fence, a creek bed, or an abandoned housing development, you have strayed too far afield.
