This box is part of the "Search for the Key" series. For more info, see the clue for [http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=172609 The Key to the City]

He managed to escape from the city. Some call him a criminal, a murderer, and the most brutal gunman who ever pulled a trigger in Chicago.

The police have dubbed him the one being who brought the Thompson Machine Gun to the Chicago’s Underworld.

He knew of all the accusations, and even knew they were true, but he loved that. He was making history, and is now on the run.

He found an unlocked car with the keys in it and started driving. Not quite sure where he was headed, so a busy road seemed to his liking. Numbers filled his head, so he followed them. 55, 80, 61, 180, 29. When he saw the sign for a town 8 miles away, 670 seemed right. When he saw a lot on the right for a nature preserve, he parked the stolen car, and ran across the street.
He knew the cops weren’t far behind, but how far was still unclear. He needed to hide the weapon, and this seemed to be the perfect place. He hopped the ‘orange gate’ and headed left, and right around the bend. He ran straight for a bit, thinking every car he heard buzz by were the cops.

He had to get rid of the weapon now, and after the left curve, and about the middle of the right curve was a small path on the left that led into the woods. He saw a huge tree and stump that had fallen, and peered into one of the many holes in the stump. He threw the violin case in and covered with all the bark and sticks he could find.

He looked around for a place to hide himself, he heard someone, but no place seemed right to shelter him safely. He crouched down behind stump and waited for the voices to pass. Turns out it was just some hikers.

He figured it would be best to split him and the weapon up just in case either were found, so he got back in his car and drove back to the main road and went south. He saw a barn immediately to his right, then a main entrance to the same preserve. He went right at the main entrance, then left and parked in the circle. He could hear more voices, his paranoia was setting in.

He bid his final farewell to the stolen car, and headed for the long partially paved southern path that said trail. He knew this could be good, far away enough and secluded from being seen from the road, but close enough in case he needed to run again. He walked down the lone path, breathing heavy and looking all around for witnesses.

When he saw the grass field on his left, he kept an eye out for a small path on the right. He took this, and noticed a small stump just big enough for him to hide. In the small opening, off to the left he covered himself with bark and sticks, making sure to also be covered from the back.
