Refurbished and Replanted!

This clue involves a typo inspired pun and a map. I’ve hidden two boxes in this lovely park in the middle of Simsbury. If you google the park, the part of the park where I've planted the boxes comes up as not parkland, but just as a blank spot across from J Foster's Ice Cream, and between a financial advisor's, and an orthodontist's office. But really. There is a park there, that you'll see if you do google satellite view.

The park is not much more than a block long, and as noted before, is across the street from J Foster ice cream. No judgement for anyone for fortifying themselves with a shake before or after this arduous (easy) search.

Within the park there is a gazebo. On the ceiling of the gazebo is a map of all the plants that have been planted in memory of a member of the community. The plants are named and numbered.

There are three yews, one of which is the source of the pun. But the double dogs are hidden in the double yews closer to the road that surround mountain laurel.

* The parking lot for Simsbury’s Board of Education/Police Department is a good place to park. Schultz Memorial Park is a short walk from there.

** Back in 2011 I hid the three letterboxes in this park. Then life distracted me. Now I am back in a place to do letterboxing again, I went to see if they were still there, and much to my delight, one box still remained.

There was some water damage to the notebook, so I decided to refurbish and replant. There are now only two boxes, but with hand carved stamps. So if you’ve already found this series I invite you to find them again.

Happy Adventuring!
