CLUES
You will need a canoe or Kayak to find this box.
The boat launch is on Pond Bridge Rd. in Holland, MA. From E. Brimfield Rd. turn onto Morse Rd. Take your first hard left onto a dirt Rd. go through the yellow gate & follow the road to the right to the put in parking lot just before the bridge.
This is the beginning of the Quinebaug River Trail for more info. & a map.

We’ve enjoyed this river trail often & always enjoy the birds, heron, turtles, etc. We’ve done it in the spring, late summer & fall & have always been able to get through. Sometimes we make it a one way trip & leave a second vehicle at the East Brimfield Lake boat launch on Rt. 20.
Follow the Quinebaug River Trail downstream away from the bridge about 2.4 miles to the third canoe rest stop. Take out here.
Standing at the fire ring with your back to the river look to about 11:00 for the tree with the fork at about 6’ high. From this tree look to your right for the double stump, your Kayak is waiting here in a hole at the base of the stump.
After rehiding you can go back the way you came or continue up the river about a mile to view the damage done by the 6/1/2011 tornado that devastated parts of Springfield, Brimfield, Sturbridge & Southbridge.
Happy Letterboxing!
