This is a mystery box which is just my type....of course, its easier with an actual computer than just my phone.

This box is part of the 'Search for the Key' series. For more information, see the clue for 'Search For the Key: Key to the City': http://www.letterboxing.org/BoxView.php?boxnum=58084&boxname=Search_for_the_Key:_Key_to_the_City

For years, Chicago’s rich, famous, politically well-connected, laborers, and everyday folks have been traveling east to the eastern shores of Lake Michigan. St. Joseph, South Haven, Holland, and Muskegon are a few of the towns whose population tends to expand as summer temperatures rise. In addition to the warm, sunny beaches, western Michigan offers a variety of opportunities to relax and get away from the big city.

This is a short hike of less than 1 mile. Sorry for the abbreviated hike, but with the rain, bugs, baby, and lack of knowledge of the area, it will have to do.

From the parking area, follow the trail south. At the shelter, follow the trail at 160 degrees, and then stay to the left. Just before/at the 4th wooden post (#14), veer left until you reach a larger side trail. Continue left (although I've been told 'straight' might be a better description, I stand behind the original clue and stick by my direction to 'go left) until you hit a clearing (near a building). At the clearing, turn to 280 degrees, and take 21 steps. Look to the left to a small multi-trunk tree about 8 feet from the trail. The letterbox is hidden in the palm of the tree. Please rehide the box so it isn’t obvious from the trail. After replacing the box, continue the way you were going to find your way back to your car.
