WARNING: ALTHOUGH I DID NOT SEE ANY POISON IVY DURING MY TREK TO HIDE THIS BOX THIS PARK IS WELL KNOWN FOR POISON IVY. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION AND USE EXTREME CARE
This box is planted in a veRy busy park in the city. It is not a mystEry box but you will have to figure out the park name and location. Please use extreme stealth while hunting, stamping in, and re-hiDing.
Park your vehicle in the first parking lot on the left as you enter the park
Enjoy the gardens presented there and read the many markers throughout the gardens.
Once done cross the street using the sidewalk in the center of the parking lot. This Will take you to a paved path on the other sIde of the street.
Follow the paved path just a few feet uNtil you reach a gravel path in front of you.
Follow the gravel path toward the right. There are markers and relaxinG decorations to enjoy on your trek.
Pass the wishing well on the right and continue on the wide Path thAt bears right.
On your right is a stone ciRcle with vegetation planted within. During the right seasons it is filled with lovely fragrant flowers. Continue to the asphalt path and follow it to the left.
Stop at the garden marker dedicated to my favorite city council lady who was also the “voice of the underdog” in our city.
Continue into the garden – here you can brush up on your tree and bush recognition sKills using the markers on the rail.
After enjoying the fragrance Garden exit unto the trail on the oppositE side of the garden.
Take your time making sure you doN’t miss thesE important landmaRks as you hike.
- nAtural archway over the traiL originating from the left
- very obvious triple-trunked tree on the right
- around the curve see the triple-trunked tree on the left
- “S” curves in the trail Begging you to follow but don’t get dizzy
- the trail comes to a “T”. Turn right!
Go past fallen tree On the right.
Go over a few rOots on the trail.
The trail comes to a “T” again.
Go lefT this time and follow the trail just a few yards until tHe trail ends.
Stop. Turn left. See the large douBle-trunked tree in front of you.
Very welL hidden under sticks, debris and roots in crotch of tree.
Please rehide well so the box cannot be Viewed by anyone acciDently.
Return the way you came or just stay on the main trail and enjoy this beautiful park.
