To learn the answer go here:

Find your way to Nicasio Reservoir. I came from Petaluma. Stay on Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road after you pass the intersection of Nicasio Valley Rd and travel .8 miles to a small pull out where a trail begins. At this writing there was a blue hard times port-a-potty which I was neither brave nor desperate enough to investigate. Take the little trail and veer off to the right over a woodsy land bridge to an “island.” In February the land bridge was easy to cross; in mid-May you almost need, as another letterboxer noted, a machete since the vegetation is so lush. In June apply your tick spray lavishly. I’m not heading out there again until at least October when the ticks are on the wane.

After you’ve crossed and are on the island look in front of you at the large and picturesque Scottish rock, not the one with the vegetation, but the large one below. Head over there and then approach from the south or top and proceed down heading counterclockwise. At some juncture you should come upon twin fissures in the large structure. Reach in the fissure on the left and under an obscuring rock you can move aside I hope you will find the Whiskey or Whisky Letterbox.

The answer of course is whisky.
