To me a hero is one that can touch you deep down inside. I found in life that you admire many people but only a few remind inside you. My hero was my father, a man that wasn't scared of hard work and had an amazing determination in life. My father taught me that by working hard you can accomplish anything you desire in life.
He was a man that never let anyone bring him down. He valued life each day to the fullest like there was no tomorrow and always seemed to end each day with a smile and a sense of satisfaction. When my father pasted ten years ago I held on to this poem that I wrote to him cause it was my way to express," What I learned from my Dad", In the end of the poem it says I guess you'll always be a mystery to me but you taught me how to value life and what else do I need, I have a Dad who watches over me.
He taught me to be the young women I am today, that I need to always follow my dreams and that they will come true along the way. Not to give up no matter how hard life can get because there will always be brighter days ahead. Most importantly that it's ok to ask for help cause when you reach out to others they will lean back on you and life is a little easier.
I couldn’t have asked for a better father and best friend in life that taught me how to value life the way he did. He may not be here physically but his values and love will always remind in my heart.
