This is one of my five-year-old grandson's first carvings. He has a few more to plant, but hasn't quite finished playing with them yet.

Directions:

From Route 66 E or W in Middlefield, turn south onto Rt 147, Bailyville, Rd. After passing Country Flower Farms on the left, turn right onto Lake Road, just after The Wave gas station.
Meander around the lake and head uphill, still on Lake. After passing the yellow and red house on the right, turn left at the stop sign. Continue all the way to the end of this road, heading toward the dog park. After crossing Cherokee Road and then passing the Roman gladiators on our right, park in the dog park parking lot.

Clues:

You will notice yellow and red dog bones painted on the trees, indicating the way to the dog park. Follow these markers going left at the first Y still following dog bones. (Going right brings you uphill to other series and eventually the Blue Trail.) At the next Y go left again. There will be a green fish and an arrow on a tree to your right. At the next Y still go left. You are heading down to the lake. When you reach the sign that says, "Family Fishing Retreat," go right, traveling on a woods road bordered by a large black pipe. Both pipes that you see once carried water to the former Powder Ridge ski area in order to make snow. Very soon, on your right, you will see a snag with a grape vine connecting it on high to the neighboring oak. Behind the oak and under some rocks is Fish Ray.
