Carriage Hill is located off State Route 201 just slightly across from the Huber Heights YMCA. My family and I spend a lot of time here. We love petting the horses (which we know by name), grabbing some candy in the general store, playing in the indoor children's kitchen, and catching (and releasing) crayfish in the creek.
For Mother's Day this year, my husband and children made up this hunt for me to do. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to replant the boxes in their honor. I hope you have fun :) Keep in mind that the park is only open until 5:00.

Box #1 Love Blossoms
Park your car at the visitor center when you arrive. It's a burgundy colored building and is the first turn on your right. There is a path leading around to the back of the building that sort of slopes down a hill. Follow this path to the back. If the horses are out, say hi to Jack, the mule. He's very friendly. There are tables back here where you can picnic if you'd like or you can go inside and get a bag of candy. Continue following the path as it slopes back up. At the top, you will see two benches. Past these benches is a long line of trees leading down the path. 'Love Blossoms' is snuggled in tree #2. This box is for my husband. He's my first heart.

Box #2 Two Hearts

Continue following the line of pine trees. When you come to a break in the pine trees, you will see 2 trees that look out of place. I call them the 'twin trees'. You will find 'Two Hearts' hidden in a hole in one of the trees. This box is for my twins. They are my second and third heart. The hole is hidden by vines. Please recover well.

Box #3 Three Is A Charm
Continuing on your journey, you will see a Welcome To Carriage Hill sign. Turn right at this sign and enter the farm area. The first building on your right is where they do woodwork. We watched them carve little snowmen in a matter of minutes once before. It was amazing. Follow the path as it curves around the corner. Once around the corner, you should see the barn ahead. Before you look for the third box, visit the sheep next to the hen house or pet Zack, the goat. If they aren't there, they will be inside the barn. There is a door just beyond the rock wall leading into the downstairs of the barn. You can sometimes find baby sheep or baby pigs in there. Behind the barn, you might find Duke or Dempsey. They are the two beautiful Clydesdales that always seem to be together. Most times the horses will be close enough to pet. Now on to the third box. While you are standing at the sheep pen petting them, look out beyond their field. You will see a wooden bridge. Head back the way you came from and go down to that bridge. You can pause here to play in the creek or catch some crayfish. Remember to release them. If you continue on, you will cross the bridge and go left. As you follow the path, you will see a small stone structure on the left, that we call the fireplace. Just before the fireplace, there is a drain leading into the creek. It is surrounded by rocks. 'Three Is A Charm' is hidden under a triangular shaped rock. This one is for my baby girl who I love dearly. She is my fourth heart.

Box #4 Make Me Smile
Continue just ahead to the fireplace. Once you reach the fireplace, go around to the back side and face the grassy area. Walk to the edge of the grassy area. There is a cement cylinder shaped rock laying in the grass. The grass can get very tall, so you may have to search. In this cylinder you will find 'Make Me Smile'. This one seems pretty obvious. All these hearts put together bring a smile to my face.

I hope you have enjoyed your search :) Stop inside the visitor center for more information on the farm/park and events that take place.
