This creek may be deep sometimes but when I was there in the Fall, it was most certainly dry. The stamp for this box was carved by flashlight and votive candle while camped by the Bowl and Pitcher. It is a bit on the rough side. At least that’s the excuse I’m using... and I’m sticking to it!
To the Trailhead: From the intersection of Division and Francis, head west on Francis to Nine Mile Road. At this point, go north on Nine Mile to Seven Mile Road where you will turn west. A couple of miles past the bridge over the river you will come to a dirt road on the right, State Park Road. Turn here and go to the parking area at the end, just before a big white gate.
NOTE: alive and well 11/8/18
To the Letterbox: Take the footpath to right of the gate. Numerals will point your way down. When the trail takes a sharp turn to the right, you will be beside a rotting stump. Fifteen steps off the trail to the left, this letterbox awaits behind a small boulder, under a small overhang.
