********10/13/11 update: Box 2 is missing!****

During a recent trip to the Field Museum in Chicago, we were excited to find 2 letterboxes, which gave me a great idea. I decided to put two boxes in our own museum here at home as well!

Granny box:
Head to the Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit. Walk in and pass an overhead sign that reads "Northwest Mutual Life." At the end of that brick street, the "road" curves to the right and you will see Granny sitting on her porch, rocking away. At the end of her fence line, you'll see a black iron safe. Reach under the safe at the back for box 1. Stamp discreetly (obviously lots of Muggles here). Also please note the sticky velcro-like tape holding the box in place.

Hebior Mammoth box:
Go up to the third floor to the North American Indians Tribute to Survival exhibit. Go around the moving powwow in the middle and go to the Mortuary totem pole. Walk straight past it and you will see a grouping of tall trees and another totem pole. Keep walking straight. You'll pass the California Shoreline exhibit on the left. Keep walking ahead. On the right you'll see a painted mural of trees, but keep going. On the right you'll see the Rocky Mountains exhibit, but pass it and keep going straight. On the left side you'll see the Navaho Athabascan Intruders of the North case. Directly across, you will see two lighted glass cases that come together to make a corner. It reads Pima and Papago Basket Makers. Where the cases form a corner, way underneath near the floor, is where you will find box 2. Normally I would have hidden this box much closer tot he Hebior Mammoth exhibit downstairs, but there are way too many muggles there and no where to hide it.

Status reports are welcome!
