To get to Wilcox Woods Conservation Area:
From southern Connecticut (New Haven, Waterbury):
91N, Exit 20 Country Club Rd, Left on Country Club Rd (1.0 mile), Right on Atkins St (0.8 mi), Left on Footit Dr.
From northern CT (Hartford, etc):
91S, Exit 20 Country Club Rd, Left on Middle St, Right on Country Club Rd , Right on Atkins St (0.8 mi), Left on Footit Dr.
CLUES:
*Follow Footit Drive up dirt road until you find the red/blue blazed trail on the left.
*Follow the red/blue blazed trail until it turns into an all blue-blazed trail
*Zig and zag through the woods until you get to an area with a small ravine
*Follow the trail along the side of the ravine until you meet a large tree stump in the middle of the trail
*Past the tree stump in the middle of the trail, look to your left at the boulders
*Flat Stanley is well hidden amongst a pile of boulders, out of sight. You might have to move a stone to find him.
