West Rock Park has been a favorite hiking and picnicking spot for three friends and me for the past two summers. There are different ways to reach the top of West Rock, by car or on foot. Follow this link for detailed directions to reach the main entrance.

Once in West Rock Park in New Haven, follow the signs to Judge's Cave. The group of enormous rocks has an interesting history and has been home to many adventures between Rory, Pea518, Elf Boy, Pichi and I.
To find our letter box, face the plaque that is on the front of Judge's Cave. Follow the cave to the right until you reach the back of the cave, exactly opposite of the plaque. There are flat rocks that you should be standing on. Look straight ahead and see a miniature pine tree directly in front of you. At the time we placed the letter box it wasn't more than two feet tall. Behind the tree and to the right, look for four trees that share one body. At the base of these trees you will find our letter box.
Enjoy!
