The "Texas Bonefish" letterbox is located in Goose Island State Park, east of Rockport, Texas. The park offers camping, hiking, fishing, and scenic views.
Directions:
From Rockport, go northeast on Hwy 35 to Park Road 13. Turn right and follow signs for Goose Island State Park camping area. Enter and pay fee, then follow signs to the "Wooded Area Campground" on right. After turning at sign, take a left at the first intersection and go straight until you reach the "Turks Cap Nature Trail" on the left and park. (Be sure to follow these directions since there is another trail head for this trail)!!
To the Letterbox:
From the Kiosk, go 55 paces on the trail to where trail bends right. Take the small trail to the left, and go 20 paces. Face south, and walk off trail about 5 yards to back side of large tree. Box is at base.
