You’ll find Tiny Toy Story after a short (1/3-mile), but steep hike. Park at the Santa Fe Canyon Preserve lot off Upper Canyon Road just to the left of the road that deadends at the Randall Davey Audubon Center. If you cannot find parking at the Santa Fe Canyon Preserve, you can park at the Audubon Center, but it will add considerable time to the walk. From the SF Canyon Preserve lot, walk toward the trailhead and go right toward Dale Ball, which will take you through a sometimes-active riverbed and up onto the road to the Audubon Center. Directly across from you is the trailhead for Dale Ball trail section #29. Take this and climb the railroad tie stairs and then follow the trail left and wind with it up to a nice ridge. Take the ridge back toward a canyon, staying right when there is an option. Eventually you will come to a large pipe crossing an arroyo. Pass this on your left and head into the canyon, which will be rocky with a very clear path. You will gently climb and a large gray-white bolder will be on your right. Keep walking until you come to the first boulder pile and rock face on your left. Between the first two saplings coming out of the rock at about 5-6 feet up the wall, look for a ledge and a pile of rocks concealing Tiny Toy Story.

We encourage you to leave a tiny toy and take one. Please bring your own ink pad.
