This is my expandable series of Al Hirschfeld's caricature art of films and characters I particularly enjoy. They'll all be placed on the Qunnipiac Trail, so bring along Rubaduc's Q-Series clues. Boxes have no ink but all you'll need is a glorious Black pad. Pick up the trail by going to Gaylord Mountain Rd in Hamden, and head south on Downes Rd. The Q trail will continue on the left near the end of the road at the turn around. Enter at the Blue Blaze.
Enter the trail and soon you will come to a tree with the Qunnipiac Trail sign. Follow the trail passing between a double blazed tree on the left and large wall on the right. From the next blue blazed tree on the left, take 13 steps and stop. Look right to see a mottled moss covered, thigh high boulder. Look behind for Alfred Hitchcock.
Continue on the trail following the blue blazes, you will soon pass a low stone wall and a blue blazed 2 sister. Keep going uphill and when you reach the top where it levels off, there will be a wide bottom (U) 2-sister on the right, and another 2 sister on the left next to a rock and some other trees. Stand between these trees and look through the left sister to see a 3 sister tree (one sister has fallen). Charlie Chan is in the base of the tree.
Continue on the trail a bit further and you will reach a large rock area and blue arrows. Keep going, pass under some power lines and re-enter the woods straight ahead. Eventualy you will come to a left turn blue blazed tree at an intersection of an unblazed trail. From the Blazed tree walk 15 paces more on the Blue trail, you should end up about 4 paces from a log in the path. Facing the log look right and find Casablanca at the end of the rocks in a small cave covered by wood.
You could continue on about another 170 paces and find Rick's Cafe on the right, or even further for Rubaduc's Q-14 otherwise just backtrack the way you came to your car.
