Birch Hill Dam
Planted to celebrate the "Crazy About Animals " Mini Event held by 3 great boxing friends: Bluegoatz and Moose on the Loose!!
“I’ll be dammed!”, the beaver said as he gazed in amazement at his stopped up river. “I slaved for days cutting and dragging these dam logs and now I see somebody else built their own dam where I planned to build mine!” He sat down to rethink the whole dam project. Out of the corner of his eye, he spied something quickly moving. “Hey! That’s my best dam building hat! You have a lot of d@#$%& nerve, stealing it!”, he shouted as the little thief disappeared up in the trees tops.
*Park in the 1st parking lot. Walk along the mowed path thru the field along the river. Look Left for a small bridge. Cross it then walk 26 paces Left to 3 downed Beaver trees. In their junction under a SPOS, you will find the little thief’s getaway vehicle. (Box #1)*
The beaver chased the little thief up the dammed river past his dammed pond to the big stone and concrete structure. It was a dam marvel! “Oh no!”, he shouted. “That d@#$%& little thief is going to throw my best dam hat into that deep dam water!”
*Drive up the hill to the picnic area parking lot. Look Left 4 1/2 guardrail posts in the rocks for the "skunk/oreo cookie rock". Under it you will find the bold little thief. Stamp in at the nice picnic tables that the dam caretakers so graciously provided! Don't Monkey around, get right to it! Find him before the angry dam building beaver does! (Box #2)*
