Baqash carved this stamp and made the log book. It is on the Jones Gap Trail, we walked together during the event MLK Day Re-Do.
Jones Gap State Park is in the NW section of Greenville County, SC. Off Scenic SC Highway 11, turn at the little store on to River Falls Road. Follow signs to Jones Gap Road and the State Park. Walk from the parking area along the trail to park headquarters. Jones Gap Trail begins with blue blazes at the second bridge (no handrails). Sign in at the kiosk. Follow the blue marks for about ¾ mile to the intersection of Rainbow Falls trail, red blazes. At this “Y” intersection a single large tree has fallen across both tails. In the center of the intersection there are two sections of the tree, each 40” long. Inside the hollow end of one section, facing the main trunk, deep in, behind a rock is a small black box.
1.5 mile round trip
