In January of 2011 I lost my Dad, who was my best friend. He was an amazing man with a wonderful sense of humor, and with a heart full of love. He raised me alone, too, since the age of four. :)
This box is in his memory...I know you don't know my Dad, but I wish that you did. He made everyone's lives brighter.
Skylawn, now called Lifemark, is a beautiful place to visit. The peace and love that exists there can only be felt by spending a quiet moment there.
To find my special box here are your clues:
Enter Skylawn Memorial Park from Highway 92 and stay to your left at the fork in the road. Keep an eye out for a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean on your left. Another clue that you are headed the right way will be the Charity Clock (and antlers) that you will soon see on your right (this will be a good clue if it is foggy out and you can't see the ocean.) Drive very slowly, and at the top of the little hill your are driving up you will turn left onto another little road (if you have reached the mausoleum on your right, you have gone too far- go back.) :)
You will pass two Fu dogs on your left. Head towards to the roundabout with the arrow in the middle that points to the Heavens. You will be heading towards the Veterans XII resting place. Drive around the roundabout and go over two speed bumps. In the third tree on your right from the second speed bump there is a little ceramic angel sitting in it's branches. Up the hill from the angel tree is where my Dad is. As you walk past others that have been laid to rest, think happy thoughts of lives lived, and of a daughter that loves her Dad for eternity. <3 My Dad's name is Raymond and he lies in between Elizabeth and Joe. As you are standing there look west towards the ocean. If you look towards the bottom of the hill you just walked up you will see a series of flat rocks (very flat.) :) Under the lowest of the flat rocks lies your treasure.

UPDATE: 4-15-15 This area of the Skylawn has been changed and the letterbox is now gone. I will be updating this post soon with a new location and new box.
