I chose this location to place our letterbox because of all the history it has with my family. My great-grandparents purchased the house in 1940. The house remained in our family until 2005, when Pleasant Grove City purchased it. I remember when I was little my family would go over for Sunday dinner with my great-grandparents. Pappy (my great-grandpa) would put Christmas lights up every year. I would get to flip the switch to turn them on, whenever we visited. Later I rented out the basement apartment for 5 years. This is where my husband proposed to me. As I was walking around the yard deciding where to place the letterbox I saw quite a few family members names in the sidewalk, including, my dads and his brother and sister. The house hasn’t been kept up to code, but since it’s a historical site it can’t be torn down (so it remains vacant). There is a big porch with plenty of room to stamp your book. The city still puts lights up on the house and the rest of the block at Christmas time. We will be placing the stamp on December 6th, my sons’ 6th birthday.

CLUE- Address is 90 East Center in Pleasant Grove, UT. The house is located at the light of 100 East and Center. Park on the south side of the house, in the empty lot between the library and the police station. Walk behind the unattached garage and find the little sidewalk. This should lead you to the front of the house. Before entering the porch there is a brick wall on each side of the steps leading to the front door. On the bottom of the pillar to your right there are some loose bricks, behind them you should find a Christmas light. The house is vacant so feel free to stamp your book on the porch.
