Please bring your own pen!!!

Start at parking lot of Mt. Misery – Town of Lincoln Conservation land.
Head down the trail to the right end of the lot towards the pond.
You will see a tree with a sign that says ‘No Swimming’ before you get to the pond.

Once you get to the pond, follow the trail to the left of the pond. At the next intersection, continue going straight, following along the pond on your right.
After the wooden fence next to the pond ends, you will notice a green metal fence. At the end of the green metal fence, take 23 steps and follow the path downhill to the right that leads to the stream.
You will see a bridge. Stand on the bridge and have a look at the waterfall if you would like – beautiful in all seasons.

Facing downstream toward the pond, turn right going back toward the way you came, but continue straight on the path uphill.
You will rejoin the first path when you see a wooden pole with a ‘5’ on it.
Take 26 steps from the ‘5’ pole to an intersection. Go left. You will see yellow trail markers. Those are the markers to know you are on the right trail.

At the fourth yellow trail marker you will come to a four-way intersection with a wooden pole marked ‘4, C, and B’.
Turn right at the intersection and go downhill.

At the bottom of the hill, you will see a sign that says ‘Kettle Trail.’ Continue left downhill.
Stay to the left at the next 3-way intersection and take 48 steps down the trail to a yellow trail marker on a tree on the right of the trail. Turn left and walk uphill, going off the main path.

Go past a fallen tree (from Hurricane Sandy), and a fallen tree covered with moss. Up ahead on your right you will see a triple-trunked tree. Go above the triple-trunked tree and look down the hill through the tree toward the bay. Just below, you will see a large dead branch on the ground covered with moss.
There you will find the letterbox hidden!
Please remember to cover the letterbox up very well after you have signed the book.

To get back to the parking lot, you can:
a) go back down the hill to the path, turn right and right again uphill to the 4-way intersection. At the intersection, continue straight across, which takes you down to the pond where you go right to the lot.
or
b) facing toward the bay at the triple-trunked tree, turn behind you and walk straight up the hill.
You will find another path. Turn left, and then take your first quick right down the trail with yellow markers. Continue down the path until you come to the end where there is a tree in the middle of the path. Take ‘Kettle Trail’ to the left.
Continue straight on the path with red arrow markers, which will take you down to the parking lot.

We hope you enjoyed your letterboxing adventure!
