This is the third in a series of boxes along the Fit Trail at the Effingham Elementary School. The school is just off of Rte 25 and School Street in Effingham, NH. As you turn into the school driveway the signs for the beginning of the Fit Trail will be on your right. Park in the visitor’s lot and go to the beginning of the Trail. There are 4 letterboxes along this trail. To find EFFIE 3 make your way to Station 11. This is the station farthest from the beginning of the trail. Standing with your back to the Station walk through the parallel bars. Now walk about 18 paces East (left) up the trail. Turn 90° to the left (North). You will see a group of 5 large pine trees and one dead tree trunk. Walk 20 feet or so to the large pine at the back of the group on the right. What you are looking for is at the base of this tree. Please make sure the box is closed up tight and re-hide as you found it.
