GO SLOW
Find Mitchell Road in Devils Hopyard and drive past the pond and park in the little area where the Red/white trail begins .
It is a good idea to have a map of the park and you will see just where this trail goes .
Park in the small area and walk down along the wide Red / White trail . Notice ahead , the double blue blaze on the tree ? That is the beginning of a blue trail that goes left up the hill . You need to go right and follow along towards the pond . As you walk with the pond on your right , wave to Sally and Oogie Boogie as you pass by .
This trail is not blazed the whole way , but it is well walked . It soon becomes very rocky and so give caution with your footing for this short section . The pond is in view and soon the trail becomes easy . Stop when a large ledge is right in front of you . The yellow trail goes up the hill to the left , and look ahead at a Cyclops Tree staring right at you .!! Scramble up to that tree and GO SLOW is resting in a rocky nest in the bend of the Cyclops.
To return to you car, either turn right and pass through a barbed wire fence and walk over the dike at the end of the pond , then road walk right, back to your car , or re trace your steps on the trail .
I hope this little walk was fun

Things you do not need to know ~~ we hiked that blue trail quite a long way as it goes up and up and up , an easy walk and it is packed with laurel which will be beautiful in May , a coming adventure for sure . Also , the yellow trail is ready for more hiking and offers more adventures to come as well .
This part of the park is off the beaten path and very pretty .
