A tree common to the area. The berries are widely used as a spice and are the primary favoring in gin. In fact, gin's name derives from the dutch word for juniper(genever).

From Pinon Hills Blvd, turn north on College Blvd. Pass Lions Trail and go .1 miles and turn left on the dirt road. Stay right at the Y. After .1 miles, turn right on the dirt road that immediately circles left around several juniper trunks (opposite the road going to the brown fenced gas field). The letterbox is in the vee of the trunk farthest to the northeast.
