The walk is about 1/3 mile round-trip, in the Pioneer Hills area/turtle reserve.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-15, take the St. George Blvd. exit 8. Head west. Turn right on 1000 E. then left on Red Hills Parkway. On the right side of the road, you’ll pass Pioneer Park, then the Rotary Club lot, and then beyond the rocky area is a sagebrush field, and dirt road leading to a parking lot. Park there.
CLUES:
Follow the trail along the wooden railing, and keep right on the Pioneer Hills Trail. At the intersection with a much wider trail, there is a trail marker indicating Pioneer Hills to the left, and Pioneer Rim to the right. Straight ahead is a power pole. At the southwest corner of this intersection, go to the large creosote bush and find the small pouch at its base under a small red rock.
Please zip all bags closed, be discreet and rehide well.
