Red Cliffs Desert Reserve area is a turtle reserve, and is a very popular rock climbing spot.
The letterbox is a short walk from the parking lot. Remember to tap and look for critters before reaching into holes.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-15, take the St. George Blvd. exit. Head west. Turn right on 1000 E. then left on Red Hills Pkwy. Park in the second parking lot on the right (after the rock wall “DIXIE” written on it. There will be a Rotary Club of St. George sign.

CLUES:
In the Rotary Club parking lot, facing the rotary club sign, go left (north) and around the rock "wall" along the edge of the parking lot. You will come to a spot where large rocks block vehicles from entering, at the end of the lot. From the last rock, go on into this dirt area, away from the road, toward the rocks. Go straight ahead 30 steps and stop. Look to the left and see the rock "wall" with very large holes/pockets that you could lay down in. Look to the right up to the closest solid rock point with a rounded top next to a rock ledge jutting out, pointing to the parking lot, at 80 degrees.

COOL COYOTE: Head up to the round top, but stay at its base in front – don’t take the trail around to the left. Almost in line with the large “lay-in” holes/pockets down below, there are a series of holes along the base. Facing the round top, go to the first large hole on the left. Inside the hole, a small rock on the left hides the small pouch.

Please zip all bags and pouch. Tuck it back in as far as possible out of sight and replace the rock.

COOL TORTOISE: Go on to the right, from round top to the jutting rock. After passing the part pointing ot the parking lot, count more 10 steps, following the base, to the first large hole. Inside the hole, a small rock on the left hides the pouch.

Please zip all bags and pouch. Tuck it back in as far as possible out of sight and replace the rock.
