This is the first letterbox that we have placed. Inside it, you will find postcards addressed to the girls in our Brownie troop. Please choose ONE per visiting group, until postcards are gone, and give us some feedback, as well as your stamp. Thanks!

There are houses near where the box is located. Please try to keep the box a secret as you look for it so as not to attract too much attention. As you walk through the woods, you may also see several scarecrows that the classes at RBS make and display here each autumn.

From the Roaring Brook School parking lot, walk around to the back of the school, past the large playground. Looking toward the woods, you should see a blank wooden signboard marking the entrance to Nature's Classroom. Enter the woods here and walk past the nine benches making up the classroom. Continue straight, passing the Tree Identification sign. What type of tree grows around the sign?

Continue past three trees that are together on the left. There may still be a fairy house at their base. Look for the tree whose trunks are connected at the bottom AND the top.

Continuing on, look for two sets of "twin" trees, one on the left side of the trail, then one on the right side of the trail, that has a rock wedged in between. See the rock wall meandering down through the woods beyond the trail on the right. (If you pass a tree with a fuzzy vine, you've gone too far!) At this point, dead limbs line the right side of the trail. Find a downed tree that meets a wide space in this border of limbs and extends toward the wall.

Line yourself up in front of that downed tree, facing the wall. There is a tree to the left with a flat-topped pinkish rock next to it. Walk around that tree and rock, then straight toward the wall.

You will find a large hole in the wall. The box is there!

Please be sure to seal up and hide the box well when you are done and thanks for stopping by! Just refreshed and and refilled the box on November 20th, 2015.

If the box is missing or damaged, please email gardngirl30@sbcglobal.net. Thanks a bunch!
