Take the Herndon exit from 168 and head West. Then head North on DeWitt (make a right.) Then head West on Minnewawa (make a left.) Follow the road until you cross a canal. Park in the small parking lot on your left. If you pass the fire station, you've gone too far. You will see the John R. Wright station and two trail signs. Take the Dry Creek Trail and head East. Walk 1/4 mile. You will pass two benches on your left, and a 1/4 mile marker located on your right. Just past the 1/4 marker, you will see a large cement cylinder which houses the water release valve for the irrigation pond located on your left. The box is buried under very large rocks at the base of that cylinder between the cylinder and the chain link fence. This is a well-traveled path with lots of walkers and joggers. You may have to use some stealth especially on the weekends. Enjoy and please re-hide the box well.
