On April 10, 1912, The Titanic set sail from Southampton with 2200 passengers and crew aboard. On April 14 it hit an iceberg and sank with a loss of 1500 souls. One of the 700 survivors was William Sloper, a stockbroker from New Britain who was returning from a 3 month vacation in Europe. William Sloper died May 1, 1955 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain. (Check out this web site for a lot of information on the Titanic, her passengers and her crew. http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/).

Clues:
Fairview Cemetery is at the corner of Smalley St. and East St. in New Britain. The entrance is on Smalley tho' there is one on East also with a narrow tunnel under the railroad tracks to get you to the side you want. From the Smalley St. entrance look for Section 8 and take the high road. The Sloper monument is on the right very close to the road. Park near here.
Walk back along the road toward the entrance. Look for Glover on your left (still in 8). Behind this is a tree stump. Look inside.

Be sure to cover well so the "box" can't be seen, including from the sides. Also, watch the slope and the holes.
