Park in the Lake Buteo parking lot and step carefully across the dam. Follow the trail and look for signs of beaver activity in the area. Be careful of cars on one very short stretch of the trail. After you pass the beaver's work zone, follow the trail until you come to a small grove of pine trees. Look for a tree a woodpecker would love. In the base of the tree is our letterbox! Look carefully- we were sneaky! Continue down the trail after you found it and you will come out at the parking lot. Have fun!
