IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of August 25th, 2013, this box is OFFICIALLY MISSING. We are unsure as to the cause; perhaps it was washed out to sea, perhaps it fell into the rock crevices. If you should discover the letterbox, PLEASE SEND ME (Marissa Moon) A MESSAGE PROMPTLY AND RETURN THE BOX TO ITS INTENDED HIDING LOCATION. DO NOT SAFEGUARD. Otherwise, it will be at least a year before we are able to procur and plant a replacement. If you are looking for other Marissa Moon/MoonPop letterboxing adventures, we hope you will explore our assorted letterboxes planted in King County, WA, including boxes at Marymoor, Weowna Beach, Ardmore, Viewpoint, Cougar Mtn, Keeney, Evergreen, Hillaire, and McCormick parks, and more! THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION. - Marissa Moon and MoonPop

Westport Wanderer Letterbox ~ CLUES

***Please note that this box is NOT a "Hitchhiker" (HH) letterbox, contrary to its name.
***As you hunt this letterbox, we encourage you to roam around the town of Westport and its harbor. Also, a great little eating spot is the "Inn of the Westwind".
***PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE MILDLY ATHLETIC TO ATTEMPT THIS QUEST. THE OWNERS DO NOT RECCOMEND THAT LETTERBOXERS WHO ARE SMALL CHILDREN OR ELDERLY HUNT THIS LETTERBOX, SINCE THE BOULDERS AMONGST WHICH IT IS HIDDEN MAY BE SLICK IN WET CONDITIONS, AND SINCE SMALL ROCKS MAY BE LOOSE. OWNERS TAKE NO REAPONSIBILITY FOR INJURIES.

Your starting point is the large observation tower near the harbor. You should park your car/bike at the base of the tower, as your quest will be on foot from here. A small footpath begins just off the parking spaces, which you will follow past two benches; the first bench honors the South Beach Pioneer Family. However, it is the second bench which you must reach. This bench is dedicated to the Nyhus Family.
Good going, you have reached a milestone in your quest! Now, read carefully;
Face the sea break with your back to the Nyhus bench. Now move to the right end of the bench and roughly 10-12 feet straight ahead of you, you will see a large rock at the base of the sea break with an unusual hole bored into it, about 6 inches in diameter.
As you descend the small, rocky slope and sand to reach the boulder BE MINDFUL OF ROCKS WHICH MAY BE SLIGHTLY LOOSE.
Okay, you should now be standing atop this boulder with a manmade hole drilled partway into it. Your goal is very near now. You must reach the reddish boulder about 8 feet up from you and slightly to the right.
Here, you must locate another manmade hole in this reddish boulder. The hole is hollow and goes all the way through the rock however you need to explore the high end. Shadows may make this hole virtually invisible and hence very difficult to locate. Again, WATCH OUT FOR LOOSE ROCKS.
Reach your hand into the unknown depths of this hole...

Once you have found the letterbox, exchange stamps with it before closing baggies and lids. Please take special care to ensure it is totally hidden from view back in its hiding place.
Enjoy your hunt!!
