On March 31st 2012, the letterboxingham set out to do volunteer trail clearing as he had many Saturday mornings in the past. While he was felling the last tree of the day the tree decided to fell him. He was pretty banged up in the accident but lived to tell the tale. Judy Wilson (jwanders) commented that “surely his trail angel was with him that day”. Those of you who know The Ham know that his guardian angel gets a regular workout while the lazyletterboxer's guardian angel usually just has to be on guard for paper cuts and things like that.....This 2 box series honors what I wish David's guardian angel looked like and what I'm pretty sure he actually does looks like.

Take Pleasant Street from downtown Leominster. Turn right on Wachusett Street, drive past the reservoir and then look for a green gate on the left. Park and enter the debris strewn area looking leftward for a blue blazed trail. Walk along the trail until you come to a 6 foot stump with a blue blaze. The scene of the accident...when we placed these boxes the tree was still across the path...a rather nasty reminder of a bad day but also a testimony to what I regard as a miracle. Just before the stump, look for a cluster of rocks to the left of a clothes-racky looking tree on the same side of the trail. Box #1 is hidden under the right side of the top rock.
Now go about 12 steps past the stump and look to the ground on the right for a couple of “kissing cousins”. Look behind and between them for box #2.
Please rehide well, taking care to sprinkle some pine needles for camouflage.
