Our journey begins at Panther Knob Nature Trail. Follow trail until you find a bench at a crossroads on the trail. You will see a sign with two hikers and an arrow pointing up the hill that continues the nature trail. Sit on this bench and enjoy the view of the lake. Directly behind the bench is the tree that hides the box with the cave woman look under the rocks on the backside.
Instead of following the trail as directed take the trail skirting the lake. continue on to the overlook. Follow the trail down to the bottom of the dam. Cross the creek and head back up the trail. You will meet up to the fishing access trail now on the other side of the lake. You can go over and enjoy the other dam overlook if you like. The trail becomes an old roadbed, head back towards the beach area. Along the way as you approach the beach area on the right is some old abandoned Square concrete ruins. Look between these Ruins under rocks to find the caveman and logbook.
