To celebrate Earth Day, our class decided to do a letterbox to encourage others to get outside and enjoy nature. We hope our box allows you a fun, short hike in a great town, Franklin!

FES Best Letterbox Ever

Start at State Highway route 207 in North Franklin, Connecticut, 06254.
Find Giddings Park, drive into main entrance and park in dirt parking lot by the playscape and picnic table pavillion.
Walk toward the tennis and basketball courts along the dirt path.
Pass the basketball court and head toward the baseball field.
Look to your left for an opening in the trees and another path downhill.
Take that path and walk approximately 70 steps.
At the point in the path where it curves to the right, look for an unusual tree on the left.
It is about 10 feet from the path, has 3 large branches that stretch upwards. Behind the tree is a pile of rocks.
The letterbox is neatly hidden underneath the pile.
Please leave a nice note about your experience, your hometown, and the date. Thanks for returning the box and materials back carefully.
