Castle By the Sea LbNA #61593

At the entrance to Seaview Estates in Kalapana, there is a large castle overlooking a park overlooking the ocean. On the makai side of the road (ocean side) there is a small driveway that leads to a “parking lot” where you can park your car and walk to the black lava cliffs and watch the surf crash and splash. From the parking lot, follow the path towards the ocean. There are 4 palm trees on the left side of the path, one of which is bendy and looks like a J. The lower part of the J frames a small cave beyond the palm trees. On the left side of the cave there is a formation of 4 medium sized lava rocks. Under the second from the left in a small space is the letterbox hidden behind a smaller rock. As always, rehide well & send us a line to let us know how it’s doing!
