This is an easy 15-20 minute walk.There is a seasonal fee to enter the park.
FOREST PARK 91 North or South take the last exit in CT #49 then go north on RT 5 toward Longmeadow MA.You will pass Bay Path College on your left a little further up the road you will see a baseball field and a stone indian head statue on the right pull into Forest Park in between them.Go through the main gate and you will take a windy road until you cross a stone bridge and then you will see an island in the middle of the road.Behind it is the parking area.
THE KING HAS BEEN TROLLNAPPED!!!Box #2 is still there and we will be placing Box#3 "The Troll Queen" very soon so keep a look out for the new box.Anyone with info about the King please email us Thank You and Happy Letterboxing!!
The Troll King Donrobwit was out for a walk through his kingdom last night and seems to have misplaced his crown.Perhaps if you retrace his steps you will be able to find it and be rewarded for your services to the king.King Donrobwit started his adventure at the gazebo where he goes to visit his many turtle friends then he walked down the paved path past many shallow frog ponds where he was greeted with plenty a croak and ribbit.He passed by a side road on his right but decided to keep going on the main road to visit his cousin Jimdanken.When you come to a covered bridge on your right please stop and go down the steps to the front of the bridge,King Donrobwit will want to meet you.On the left of the entrance to the bridge if you drop down into the hole in between the bridge and the large rocks you will find the king's home underneath the large rock and a couple of smaller rocks.Please be discreet when greeting the king.Sadly the King is gone but now starts the reign of the Queen!When you have met King Donrobwit go back up the stairs to the road you just came from and continue on your way.The king continued down this road past the lily pad ponds until he came to a four way intersection at this point he turned right.Before long he saw a parking area on his right and the bridge at the far end of the lot where his dear cousin lives.He went to this bridge but did not cross it,instead he went to the right side of the bridge and searched in the cement wall for some grubs to eat.In a hole in the cement wall he hit the Jackpot!Is that a glint of gold I see?After visiting his cousin the king returned home to his bridge the way he had come.
The Troll Queen has been planted so please visit her while you are here.The rest of the kingdom is also lovely so if you have time please venture on to see all of it.The first person to greet the king will get a special surprise!These are our very first boxes planted so please email us and let us know how the adventure was Thank You!
