FOOD BUDDIES -- REVISED CLUES, Box #1/MISSING BOX #5 8/13/12

“Hey Mac”, said Cheese, “Remember the days before we were friends? No one wanted just cheese”.
“Yeah”, answered Mac. “No one liked plain macaroni either, except when Tomato was my friend. But then he started hanging around with Lettuce”.
Mac and Cheese agreed they were glad to be friends. This series of boxes salutes “food buddies”. Foods that, although they can stand on their own, together they are much better.

Directions:

Located at Parlor Rock Park in Trumbull. Take Route 111 (Main Street) north. As you come to Luigi’s Bakery, take a right onto Whitney Ave. Not far on Whitney, you will come to Parlor Rock Park on your left, however, parking is to your right.

Clues:

Please carefully cross the street and enter trail at Parlor Rock Park.

Please Note: Log Book is in Box #5 only. There are two ink pads in Boxes 2, 3, 4 & 5 for you to be creative with!

Box #1 Mac & Cheese
Walk on trail until the fence on your left ends. When the fence ends, keep walking on the left side of the trail until you come to a sewer cover. While standing on top of the sewer cover, look to your left. Notice a pine tree whose branches are "reaching out" to you. Box 1 is in the rocks behind this pine.

Box #2 Peanut Butter & Jelly
As you continue on trail, you will notice a break in the fence on your right that leads down to the falls. But stay on main trail, counting two more fence sections. At the middle of the second fence section, look to your left. You will see a black tarp on the ground and a huge boulder with a 2-sister pine tree up the hill. Box 2 is behind the 2-sister pine tree, under the edge of the boulder.

Box #3 Pizza & Beer
Continue on trail, walking under the highway. As soon as you come out from under highway, look to your left to see a 2-sister tree on a “hill of rocks”. Box 3 is behind this 2-sister tree. Be careful scrambling up these rocks, as some are unstable.

Box #4 Coffee & Donuts
Continue onward, walking until you notice deer fencing on your left. On your right will be 3 very large boulders. Box 4 is behind and under the third boulder.

Box #5 Milk and Cookies -- BOX #5 MISSING 8/13/12
Continue walking, crossing wooden bridge. When you come across a 2-sister tree that has a smaller tree wrapped around it on your left, look in the stonewall behind the 2-sister tree for Box 5.
