Box #1 - Clues:
Find your way to the top of the hill (there is a parking area behind the large observatory). From the top of this hill, look for the lower parking lot near a green structure (there are stairs from the upper parking area to it). You should be passing a birdhouse on a tree to the left, continue walking along this paved lane, passing the green structure. Continue to the end of the lane. You should see a white maintanence building to the right, and look for a white pipe extending from under the road, to the left.
This is where a grassy path begins.

Take 22 paces on this grassy path (you should be passing a wooden marker on the ground to the left after just a few of those 22 paces). At the end of those 22 steps, there should be a young tree boldly growing in the middle of the path.

Continue 16 more paces, toward the rotting log resting with a living tree. Stand on the path with the living tree obscuring your view of the log. Take another 10 paces on the trail, then turn about 35-45
degrees to the left. March ahead about 16 paces, passing between the rocks on the left and the coniferous tree on the right.

You should now be in an area with larger, moss covered rocks to your left. In these rocks, close to the bottom, look for and obvious diagonal crevice. Visitors please sign-in here!

*When replacing this box, keep in mind that this crevice goes in a bit, and may have a drop-off deeper inside, so replace it as close to the opening to keep it safe & within reach, yet hidden.

Box #2 - Placed Nov.04,2003
Clues:
From the crevice, turn around 180 degrees. You should see a long log ahead. Walk to it's closest end, about 10-12 paces.
You should now see a group of trees, somewhat to the left. Continue through them, past a smaller log & rectangular rock on the left, about 18-22 paces, and down this path is where you will find two smaller trees, the one on the left is straight(ish), the one on the left bows to the right. step past this bowed tree and STOP! To the right, you will see a small log & rock formation under the moss. Under the log, you will see the remnants of this log covering what you seek.

**more to come!**
