Go to the Arnold Arboretum.
Start at the Bussey Street Gate map table.
Find yourself on the map. Follow the path to Walter Street Gate for 64 steps. On your right is the beginning of Conifer Path. Go to the bridge and look west.
Look on the left bank of Bussey Brook to see a Ginkgo bilboa.
Look on the right side to see Magnolia virginiana var. australis. This is the June tree-of-the-month; is it blooming?
Walk to the trunk of the tree and search under the large leaves for the letterbox. Follow the directions inside and leave everything just as you found it.
