Go to the end of the Promenade, just west of Owen Beach. Immediately past the pavement's end, go up a short - very short - trail spur into the woods. You'll come out in a small clearing and about 25 feet further in is a VERY mossy fallen log with a group of smaller maples growing out of it. Check in the duff on the other side of the log.
