The Crimson Trail is a 4.5 mile loop that begins and ends in the Spring Hollow Campground. The trail climbs up above the China Wall, follows along the China Wall and then descends and follows the Riverside Nature Trail back to Spring Hollow. This is a rigorous hike that offers spectacular views of the Canyon below and of Cache Valley. Our family has enjoyed this trail several times.

From Logan take US Route 89 (Logan Canyon Road) 5 miles to the Spring Hollow bridge that crosses Logan River just above Third Dam. Turn right and cross the bridge; there are limited parking spaces just to the right beyond the bridge. If these are filled there are generally spaces back across the bridge on the opposite side of the Logan Canyon Road.
Walk up the paved road through the campground past both group areas A and B. Slightly beyond area B there is a footbridge. This is the beginning of the Crimson Trail.
Cross the bridge and walk ten paces beyond the bridge.
Turn to your left and notice a clump of thin-trunked trees down off the trail. Approach these tress and look on the ground on the river-side of the trees.
You will find what you are looking for under some rocks and leaves, in a leopard-print bag. :)
Be sure to close all bags carefully and re-hide well.
