The Stars Shine at Night

Your journey begins the moment you turn off of the "main" road into the Byers' Choice property. As the road divides follow the one past the group of children skipping and dancing across the field, as if they were "Puddle Jumpers". (If you happen to pass a line of small children making their way across a fallen tree, then you are heading in the wrong direction.)

Go slowly past the puddle jumpers, and keep your eyes peeled for a young boy & girl playing "leap frog" on your right. Just past them turn left. Continue on past a "red" English telephone booth on your left. Do not be tempted to park yet, but go to the "T" in the road. If you are still on course, you will spy a young lad "flying-a-kite" on your right. Turn left here...just over the "bump", look to your left, and give the "Reindeer" a wave hello.

Keep going towards the "fields"...past the huge slivers of stone...continue around the bend until you see what looks like two large "wire-eggs" on the left. You may now "park" anywhere, as the remainder will be a foot.

Make your way across the "covered foot-bridge". Pay attention to the floor, as the middle portion turns to "wood". Just after the floor turns back to "cement" (just before the stairs), turn right, to the path beside the "pond". No time to stop for fishing, there are likely only frogs in the pond to the left, according to all the "lily-pads". Keep going down the path...just past the "fountain", the "angled" path curves around to the left.

As you come to the end of the trail, you will see a building to the left, and a Large "Blue Spruce" Pine tree. Just past the pine tree, turn right due North into a field. Notice the large "storm grate" ahead to your left. Bare right in a northeasterly direction, and go down what appears to be a "grass" road.

As you make your way the path will narrow. You'll come to a small grouping of "berry" trees, and the path will diverge around it on either side. Choose wisely, as they both go to the same spot : ) Take this trail to the very end (before you would need to duck below branches or crawl under brush).

Turn towards the left (north), and look for a unique tree branch about 6' above the ground. The branch has a unique shape like a stretched-out "ᴍ" (from the prospective of a 7yr old), or as if the branch has a stretched-out "v" (from the prospective of a 51yr old). Regardless, it is due north, on the left of the trail, so turn left and take 5-steps. This should put you just about right under the point in the branch. Now turn-right, and take 5-steps East to the base of the tree.

Just under the base of the tree is where you'll find the box. It is new with a small journal & pen, the "shining star" stamper, and a pad of ink. Please be kind, and if there are any issues or concerns please let us know.

This is truly a beautiful facility, and in the winter all of the trees are lit-up with white lights. Take some time to walk through the Gardens, or venture in doors and see the life size Charles Dickens displays.
