Driving Directions:
From CO-74/ North Evergreen Pkwy in Evergreen, CO, turn onto Squaw Pass Road/ Co Rd 66. Continue 13.1 miles, go pass Echo Mtn Ski Resort, park on left side of road across from trailhead.
Trail Directions:
Great for Kids! Only 3 miles round trip with incredible views of the surrounding peaks at the top.
Follow trail up. When you reach an old fire road, continue across it on the narrow trail marked by brown US Forest Service sign. Continue enjoying a moderate ascent through gorgeous pine trees. The letterbox is located at the next US Forest Service brown post. The arrow on the sign points to a tree and the letterbox is below. If you reach tree line and the gorgeous views of all surrounding peaks, you have gone too far and can find the letterbox on your return trip to your vehicle.
The letterbox asks you to write where in the world you dream of traveling to see. A great thought to discuss on the hike up. :)
