This is an easy walk. Feel free to bring your dog along. Part of the trail is not accessible to wheelchairs. Bring gloves and wear good walking shoes.

Park in the main lot and look for the green doggy bag dispenser.

Take the trail to the left. Keep walking along the unpaved trail.

Take time to look and read the nature signs along the way, especially the Logging Donkey sign.

You will walk past the exercise equipment on your right. At the next fork, turn left away from the playground.

Keep walking until you see a little trail with an authentic “Logging Donkey.” Once you’ve looked at the donkey, continue along the same way you were going on the main trail until you get to the “Wetland Ecosystem” sign.

Take the little path behind the sign.

Ahead you will see a large tree right in your path. Turn left here and continue along the path.

Continue walking and you will find yourself at a little pier.

This would be a great place to have a picnic. Or just sit on one of the benches and enjoy the peaceful Marsh filled with lily pads, ducks and maybe a heron. When you’re ready, head back up the main trail.

Continue along until you get to the playground. You will see a gate to the left to enter the playground.

If needed, washrooms are available in the Recreation center next to the playground.

Once you’re finished playing, go along the paved path and head toward the toddler swings.

Enter another gate going into the exercise area. Feel free to work out and get your heart rate up.

When ready to move on, go past the Chest/back Press Machine in the middle padded area. Take the little trail behind it leading back to the main trail and turn left.

Continue walking along the main trail.

You will come to a sharp left turn in the trail with a tree stump to the right.

Don’t take the main trail, but go off and head toward the stump. You will step over a few fallen trees and a small log. You will be on a less-traveled trail.

After coming to another rotting tree stump, go right, along the trail.

You will walk under an arched tree, and then a smaller tree that leans to the left.

You will know you’re on the right track when you come to a tree that is heavily slanted to the right.

From there, once you get to a tree right in front of your path, turn left.

Soon you will have to go over two bumps with a log in between.

The path will lead you in between another big nursing stump and a tree.

Wedged in between the outer layers of bark in the nursing stump, you will find the Letter Box Kit.

Be sure to return the Letterbox Kit back to its hiding place and cover Box with pieces of bark when you are done. Please hide it well.
