Pet Land is hidden in Balcones District Park on the corner of Amherst and Duval Rd. in NW Austin.
The entrance to the parking lot is located on Amherst. Park and head towards the sidewalk bordering the park on Amherst. Head north on the Amherst sidewalk until you see the trailhead. You will pass a drainage area with rocks and there are some wooden posts and a chain marking the trailhead. Take the wide trail east. You will see a small clearing as the trail curves to the left. Keep following the trail. It will become rocky. Go down a hill, down another hill and up a hill. As you come upon a meadow, look to your right. There is a multi-branched cedar tree with branches leaning towards the trail. Pet Land is nestled within rocks at the base of this tree.
Be sure to hide the box well when you are done.
Another treasure, Dolphmania, is hidden across the meadow. In this park, you will also find Balcones Dino, Taiwan and Bally on another trail.
